Utah Indigenous Peoples

Indigenous peoples living in the area now known as the state of Utah include Goshute, Paiute, Shoshone, Goshute, Ute, White Mesa, and Navajo. Several groups resided in Utah as far back as 10,000 years ago.

Established by the prophet Muhammad in the 7th century CE, Islam is practiced all around the world. According to the Islamic Society of Greater Salt Lake, there are an estimated 20,000 Muslims in Utah.

A branch of Protestant Christianity, Lutheranism draws its origins in Martin Luther, the 16th century reformer. Lutheran practice emphasizes liturgy and the grace of God in salvation, along with education.
